Around the holidays business always seems to pick up. People want to complete decorating projects before their Thanksgiving dinners and Christmas parties. Luckily that is still the case this year!

We just installed another job in Charlotte for designer Tammy Taylor. Everything turned out beautifully and the rooms were transformed.

A Beautiful Master Bedroom

Sew Bee It has been working on a few jobs in Charlotte, NC. Here are some pictures of a master bedroom that we recently finished. The fabric was a beautiful silk with embroidered flowers. We replaced the sheers and drapes, recovered the cornices and corona and made the quilt and bed skirt. The whole bedroom looked luxurious when we were finished.
Tammy Taylor from Tammy Taylor Interiors was the designer and she was wonderful to work with. http://www.tammytaylorinteriors.com/

The fabric and window treatment styles were picked out by Debbie Coffey.

Sew Bee It Lately

Business has finally picked back up to normal.  We have stayed quite busy this Summer.  I wanted to share some pictures of our biggest job from the Spring.

The designer for this job was Margaret Handley from Dianne Davant Interiors.

A Cornice So Big, We Had to Rent a Truck!

Yesterday we were packing up our truck for an installation. We had an extra long cornice and knew that it would not fit in our van. The cornice was 13 1/2 feet long! We thought we would be able to stick it through the back window of our truck and then tie it down in the truck bed. When we started to put the cornice in the truck, it would not fit through the truck's back window. Fortunately we are located right next door to a Penske truck rental place. We knew there was no other way to get this huge cornice to the house, so we rented a moving truck! It was a lesson on flexibility and worked out for the best. We all agreed that it would be wonderful if we had our own moving truck to use for every Sew Bee It installation.

The truck!

Before window treatments.

Our main issue was this door. We had to make a cutout so that the door could open in. It worked out great and the cornice is as low as it can be without touching the door when it opens.

The entire length of the long cornice does not even fit in this picture.

I love how the cornice fabric matches the bark detail that is on the lower level of the walls.
Another great view that was enhanced by our window treatments!
